DAY RIDE

SEPTEMBER 27, 2011

On Tuesday September 27th we got to take another Day Ride. We woke to cool temperatures and a beautiful blue sky. We left our home in North Knoxville around 10:30 am and headed out to Biker Rags. We stopped in the store to check on a few things and then began our ride.

First we stopped for gas and a quick snack.

Then we went south on Pellissippi Parkway, took Alcoa Highway and then got on John Sevier Highway. We rode John Sevier to Chapman Highway heading south.

We turned onto 411 in Seymour and rode 411 until we got to Maryville. In Maryville we took 321 to Townsend where we took the Foothills Parkway.

After riding the Parkway we stopped briefly at one of the boat launches.

Then we took 72 to Vonore. We stopped for gas and then stopped at the Countryside Restaurant for lunch.

We've eaten there several times before and as always the staff was friendly and the food was great.

After lunch we took a few more photos then got back on the bikes.

We took 72 to Loudon where we got on 444 through Tellico Village. We continued on 444 to Lenoir City and then back to Knoxville, stopping in at Knoxville Harley Davidson West to see what was new.

After visiting with the guys for awhile, we got back on the bikes and then stopped at the Clinton Highway Harley store to pick up some parts we had ordered.

After seeing all the great new bikes we got back on our bikes and headed home. Our total ride was around 145 miles.
