DAY RIDE

JULY 1, 2009

Today was another beautiful summer day- so we set out on another day ride. We took off going north down Broadway on 33 toward Maynardville. About halfway to Maynardville, we went west on 61 through Paulette and on to Big Ridge State Park.

From Lake City we took 116 to Briceville, then jumped on 330 and headed toward Oliver Springs. We continued on through Oliver Springs and rode through downtown Oak Ridge then onto Melton Hill Drive.

We stopped at Melton Hill Park, got a drink and talked to the ducks.

From Melton Hill Park we rode to Edgemoor, north to Clinton Highway, then back into Knoxville. Our total ride was a very leisurely 90 miles, stopping along the way at three different parks.
